You’ve likely seen coffee tables, clocks, and other items with lights and mirrors that appear to stretch on for eternity. What if instead of one set of LEDs around the perimeter of your mirror, you were to make an array of 40 small mirrored lighting sections and combine them? That’s just what Maker “bongoboy27” did, using a Teensy 3.1 to control everything. The results are spectacular to say the least.
As with many incredible builds, quite a bit of effort went into creating the aptly named “Beyond Infinity Table.” Cost for this challenging proejct is estimated at $850. Still, it’s a tempting concept to attempt, perhaps even one with fewer lighting cells, and without its built-in charging accommodations in order to make it simpler.
